Book
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Arthur Rackham (illustrator). First edition thus. A nice new edition of Rackham's Hans Andersen (originally published by Harrap in the UK and David McKay in the US, 1932) with all of the artist's illustrations. Loads of black & white drawings, some full page, and twelve color plates on glossy art paper. Reprints Rackham's "Note By the Illustrator". Curiously, there's a clean, unused pocket pasted to the center of the front endpaper with just a name written on it. The same name is written in ink at the top of the page. There is a small stain at the top of the rear board. Otherwise this would be a fine copy in a very good, edgeworn dust jacket, with a few nicks, a crease to top of rear panel, curling to top of front panel, and a repaired 2" tear to front panel.
