First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very good. First Edition. 278 pp + illustrations, in original red cloth. Lower corners lightly bumped, some minor discoloration to spine. A very good copy, in a color photocopy of the rare original dust jacket. As our images show, the jacket was copied from one that had some chips and some spots colored in by hand on the spine. This is the second book in the Bob Flame series. Yeager writes in a brief foreword: "Just as Bob Flame, Ranger told an accurate story of the National Park Ranger in Yellowstone, so does Bob Flame, Rocky Mountain Ranger give a true picture of the men in this park, perched atop the Rockies and straddling the Continental Divide.I have written of mountain men who, it seems to me, have something in common with the mountain men of the early fur trade days. Those of an earlier time blazed the trails for progress, and those of the present day are keeping thise trails cleared that a nation may enjoy its playgrounds.".
