This 20-story highrise on the World Exposition site in Hanover, Germany, was designed by the architects Herzog & Partner. Concepts related to the energy balance of the building played a major role in the design which makes optimum use of solar and wind energy, ensuring that the costs of the complex and day-to-day energy supply are considerably below those of comparable modern administration buildings. Distinguished by its complex energy concept and high architectural quality, this sustainable structure is an outstanding example of an office building attuned to environmental needs.
