About the Author:
Andrew A. Dzurik is professor of environmental engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Florida State University in Tallahassee. He has served as Resident Scholar with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; a member of the Board of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors in Washington, D.C.; and Resident Faculty for the Washington Interns for Students of Engineering program in Washington.
David A. Theriaque, Esquire, is in the private practice of law and has litigated at the state and federal levels. The primary focus of Mr. Theriaque's practice is providing legal services to private sector and governmental clients regarding land use planning and growth management law. Mr. Theriaque has been an adjunct professor at Florida State University's Department of Urban and Regional Planning and is a frequent lecturer at various conferences regarding planning and growth management issues. Mr. Theriaque is a Charter Life Member of the Florida Wildlife Federation and was selected by 1000 Friends of Florida as a "Special Friend of Florida" for his representation of public interest clients regarding land use planning and growth management issues.
