Review:
It's a fact of life. Women in their 40s and 50s go through menopause, and the significant men in their lives are therefore going to experience it in some shape or form, too. Neither acknowledging it nor discussing it has been the traditional approach, but there's a lot to be said for being educated instead. Barbach's book goes a long way toward that end. She discusses rage and depression, bleeding and hot flashes, stress, sexuality, and hormones for a frank, edifying, readable reference.
