From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-Grade 1 With a minimum of text, this simple picture book story revolves around two young children's clean-up efforts at bedtime. When the toy basket is piled high, the siblings challenge each other to lift it up. The ``bet you can't'' theme runs throughout, ending with ``See. We can,'' when the children have successfully completed their cooperative clean-up effort. Realistic full-color pictures in watercolor and colored pencil against white backgrounds depict two young black children and their toys. Soft black pencil is used to frame each page, and also to encapsule the text in dialogue balloons. Endpapers provide a pictorial catalog of all the items ultimately laid to rest in the basket. The simple text and large print would allow this to double as an easy reader. While the overall effect is somewhat bland, the art is appealingly whimsical, and the story provides a pleasant encounter with two engaging siblings.
